Hi,

I went to my GP for something else and mentioned my lumps on my forehead, he is different to the GP who prodded and said that it may just be an RA thing.

The GP l saw thought it must be bone in origin as they are very hard, if this is the case its very painful to remove.

Yesterday l went for a series of X-rays and the radiographer showed me the plates on the computer screen, no sign of them!!

Dont know what they will think to this but l assumed that they were bone and therefore a minor problem, worried now about what they are.

One is half an inch in diameter and the other slightly smaller, my daughter reckons l am growing devil horns, how kind of her to say that!!

Hi Christine,

Could they be arthritic nodules? I've not heard of them on the head before though but I'm sure anything's possible!

It'll be interesting to hear what they are.

Good luck with it,
Joanna

Oh Christine!

I have these lumps on my head but they are soft. My gran has the hard ones like you- they are RA related.

here is a bit about nodules.

http://hubpages.com/hub/...to-Rheumatoid-Arthritis

the hard ones can come up quite large and quite suddenly on the head- but tend to be smaller on the joints but not always.

I have soft one on my forehead and other bits (leg etc) but they are investigating these through rheumatology.

they wondered originally if I had Weber Christian disease, now they dont think it is -they also mentionned Felty Syndrome but my WCC is high- not low so that is out!

Rheumatoid nodules are HARD and can effect your head and scalp as well as round your joints Im afraid.
